Operations Manager
Part time – (16 hours/week)

An exciting opportunity exists at Erina Community Baptist Church for an experienced and passionate Ministry Leader of Operations to join our staff team. If you are passionate about enabling the ministry in our local context to thrive, and are gifted in areas relating to property management, people leadership, building teams and administration then you are invited to express your interest in this role. This role will support our ECBC community by providing strong, healthy and effective volunteer teams and robust systems that allow the efficient and effective operations of our church. This enables the ministry functions of ECBC to flourish, remain ministry focused and sustainable, allowing us as a church to fulfil our God given purpose to be a loving church, knowing and sharing the life-changing message of Jesus.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
– The oversight and coordination of the following functions as part of the operations team at ECBC, to ensure that all needs are met in these areas:
o Finance
o Human Resources
o IT systems
o Administration
o Building Management
o Risk compliance and governance support
o Volunteers through the Volunteer co-ordinator
– The development of an operations team of paid and unpaid workers to undertake the operations functions of ECBC
– Leading and managing both the paid and unpaid workers in the Operations Team at ECBC
– The development, implementation and training of relevant policies and processes
– Building management – management of both scheduled maintenance and reactive maintenance, or projects in liaison with our volunteer Building Manager
– WHS

The right person will be able to demonstrate the following:
– A mature, committed Christian who has a sense of calling to serve at ECBC using their administration and leadership gifts
– Alignment with ECBC purpose and values
– Passion for building God’s kingdom and enabling the ministry and vision of ECBC to thrive
– Experience in working with volunteers and building healthy and effective teams
– Team player with exceptional collaboration and leadership skills, proven ability to work widely across an organisation
– Can do, solutions orientated attitude
– WHS knowledge and experience
– Familiar with policy writing and implementation
– Financial literacy as shown through budgeting, financial reporting and financial decision making
– IT literacy with the ability to coordinate projects as required and ensure that the IT needs of the church are met.
– Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
– Organised, proactive planner
– Analytical skills and ability to notice the detail
