Why is Petrol $2 Per Litre?

By: Sam Chan

The price of petrol recently skyrocketed to over $2 per litre.  How can this be?

Because this is the price we have to pay. If there is any other way, we wouldn’t pay it.

But there is no other way. So we do pay the price.

Why did Jesus die on a cross?

Because there was no other way.

Simply put, if there was any other way, then Jesus dying on a cross is foolish, unnecessary and wasteful.

But there was no other way.

There was no other way to forgive our sins. There was no other way to save us from the flames of hell. There was no other way to bring us into God’s family.

That’s why Jesus died for us in our place.

There was no other way.

The next time we marvel at how expensive petrol is.

Marvel at how much you are worth.

Jesus was prepared to pay for you with his life.

1 Peter 1:18-19.
